Established in April 2005 in Bucharest, Infineon Technologies Romania is a subsidiary of Infineon Technologies AG, a world leader in semiconductor solutions that make life easier, safer and greener.

 The Development Center Bucharest develops magnetic and integrated pressure sensors, power products for automotive and industrial applications as well as security controllers for chip card and other security solutions.

Infineon Romania pools competencies for product development with more than 400 engineers in the head office in Bucharest and further partner offices in Cluj, Iasi and Brasov and collaborates with major universities since 2005.

Infineon Romania collaborates with Politehnica University of Bucharest through different types of activities such as:

• Infineon Labs
• Support Curricula
  • Advanced Electronics Master
  • Test and Validation of semiconductors courses
• Summer Practica, Internships and PhDs
• Joint R&D projects

Infineon Romania is a regular sponsor of events and competitions for students (e.g.  “Tudor Tanasescu”, “Robochallenge”, Poli Jobs Fair)
